Munich. A lorry lost its cargo of wheat beer, at the worst possible time: the begining of Oktoberfest. The accident occured in Schwabing.

300 crates of beer were lost on Sunday evening. The driver of the lorry wanted to turn from the highway onto the A9 in Schwabing. The entire load, consisting of 1400 bottles of wheat beer, slid onto the loading area. The fire brigade used a wheel loader to remove the debris from the street and cleaned the remaining mess. Afterwards the workers secured the load provisionally. The recovery of the remaining beer bottles was done by the THW and the road towards the A9 was barricaded for 3 hours.
