Six football fans arrested

Munich. On saturday the police arrested six fans during the football match between FC Bayern and Hannover 96 in the Allianz Arena.

Before the start of the game a drunk fan imitated the Hitler salute and his companion insulted intervening police, both men were arrested.

Inside the stadium a Bayern and a Hannover fan accosted each other. Security removed them from the arena. Outside the building they turned violent, until the police reprimanded, separated and arrested them.

In the first half of the game, Hannover fans started to spit on Bayern fans who were sitting beneath them. The spitting continued throughout the second half of the game and the security guards planned to throw the three spitting fans out of the stadium, however other fans tried to obstruct them and even attacked the police who had to call for support. The officials arrested two Hannover fans who were not cooperating with the authorities. As the game ended, the remaining fans departed without incident.
