Starting on Friday, May 12th 2017 at 10:45pm and ending on Monday, May 15th 2017 4.30am, the S-Bahn Stammstrecke (main line) will be out of service due to repair and maintenance work.
S-Bahn lines to/from the west of Munich will start and end at Pasing or Hauptbahnhof. The S2 will end during the day at Heimeranplatz also.
S-Bahn lines to/from the east of Munich will start and end at Ostbahnhof.
The airport line S8 will go at all times but leave out the stations between Pasing and Ostbahnhof and the stop Leuchtenbergring.
The omitted S-Bahn trains between Pasing, Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof will be replaced by busses.
For faster Transport to Munich Hauptbahnhof, regional trains are available from Pasing, Dachau or Ostbahnhof.
The regional and long-distance trains are not affected by the blockage.
U-Bahn and Tram lines are operating as usual or even on a denser timeframe on certain lines.
The entrances to the S-Bahn stations affected will be blocked. There will be helpers on site showing passengers the way to the bus stations and informing them about alternative travel routes.
The next S-Bahn-Stammstrecken maintenance work is planned from October 20 to October 23 2017.
