Porsche Driver Hits Cyclist

Munich. A driver overlooked a cyclist (41) and injured him severely when turning on Lerchenauerstraße on Monday evening.

The driver of Upper Bavaria drove his Porsche down Lerchenauerstraße and wanted to turn left at the crossroads to Moosacher road on the left.

Although the traffic light was green, the driver overlooked the cyclist who was on the cycle path. The cyclist tried to turn right, but could not manage to avoid the car. He went over the bonnet of the Porsche and landed on the road, suffering serious head injuries. He was taken to the casualty unit in a local Munich hospital. The Porsche driver was unhurt.
