New complex at Schwabing

Munich. Leopold Strasse in north Schwabing is about to undergo huge changes. Instead of Metro Market and the neighboring Holiday Inn hotel, a new residential and business area will be built.  From 2014 , about 42,000m2 will house offices, apartments and commercial spaces.  In the complex, the five-star hotel will include three 50-meter-high towers.

The first draft of the hotel in the center of the complex is already an eye catcher. The highlights are a 4,500m2 wellness area and a 4,000 ball - and conference room. At the end of 2011, both the Metro and Holiday Inn will be demolished and then the construction work starts. By 2014, the new district will be ready.
