Munich annual facade-makeover competition

Munich - Who has the most beautiful facade of the city?  This question is asked during an annual competition. However, there is a prerequisite for participating buildings. Munich's house facades have competed in a beauty contest against each other since 1970, reports Die Tageszeitung. In "Facade Competition" it is preferred that participants are of an advanced age: houses must be built before 1960. The jury commends exemplary renovations and restorations. This year 19 winners were selected, five received an award of 500 euros and a certificate.
