Countdown for Wiesn Begins

Munich. The floors of the Oktoberfest tents are foaming with cleaning liquids: the Oktoberfest is scheduled to start on the 18th of September on the Theresienwiese. Tent cleaning is currently in progress.

Workers busy themself with steam blasters in the Schottenhamel tent as they start cleaning the wooden floor to make it ready for the anniversary. After the cleaning process the table sets will be assembled, on which some thousands of voices will sing "Prosit der Gemütlichkeit". Traditionally mayor Christian Ude will tap the first barrel in this very tent at exactly 12 o'clock and open the Oktoberfest 2010 officially.
