Cement lorry overturns

Neufahrn. A 60 year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and plunged down an embankment, but managed to escape serious injury.

The heavy cement lorry was on route to a construction site at 16:20 yesterday when the driver took a sharp bend too fast, broke through the safety barrier and plunged 15 meters down an embankment into a sand bank.

The driver was taken to hospital with a large wound to his head and some bruising, but his injuries were relatively minor.

Police estimate damage at around 80,000Eur.
