Postman steals credit cards

Munich. For months a 41 year old postman stole credit and EC cards from mail in Allach. Together with his girlfriend he went on shopping tours with the cards.

According to the police, cases increased where credit and EC cards disappeared, which were sent by post from the respective bank. In four cases the police were able to trace the the card back to the purchase of clothes, sports equipment, groceries, electronic articles and petrol. In one case the card as well as the PIN were lost, resulting in thousands of euros missing from the owners account.

After an investigation the police questioned the 41 year old postman. It soon showed that he was he was on a shopping tour with the credit cards that were issued with a male name. If the card was addressed to a woman, his 40 year old girlfreind then used the card to go shopping.
